2011 Bassmaster Classic day 2 under way after nearly three-hour fog delay

After an almost three-hour fog delay, B.A.S.S. officials told the Bassmaster Classic anglers to crank up their boats and prepare to blast off at 9:45 a.m., MS-Sportsman.com has learned.

“It’s breaking a little bit,” said Bruce McDonald of Luling, La., when reached by cell phone. “At 9:45 we’re out of here.”

190-class buck downed before dogs released on Hatchapaloo Hunting Club

It was bitterly cold on the Jan. 9, and only five truckloads of Hatchapaloo Hunting Club members had shown up for a morning dog hunt. The hunters were riding the more than 30 miles of roads on the 7,000-acre Smith County lease looking for a likely place to release their dogs.
