2011-12 Youth Participation Initiative Program announced

Organizations interested in helping involve more youth in the outdoor sports can begin applying to participate in the state’s Youth Participation Initiative Program beginning July 1, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced.

The beginning of summer marks the appearance of white-tailed deer fawns throughout Mississippi, and the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is asking people to leave these young deer alone.
