The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) presented proposed hunting seasons and regulatory updates during the March meeting of the Mississippi Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
The proposals include recommended season dates for migratory game birds, updates to private lands alligator hunting season, and revisions to turkey season extension to May 3, 2026 on some Wildlife Management Areas.
Proposals are open for public comment for 30 days and can be viewed at https://www.mdwfp.com/proposed-rules-regulations.
