Officials with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announced that the recreational fishing season for red grouper (Epinephelus morio) will be closed in Mississippi territorial waters from Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. local time through Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. local time.
