Landry Barton recently turned 12 and invited some adventurous friends to come run a trap line on her grandparents’ land as a part of a nest predator management program. The 6th grade girls and Landry’s 9-year-old brother Cal were successful trapping and dispatching a raccoon with a Duke Dog Proof trap. The pelt was tanned by Landry’s daddy and the meat was donated to a local family.
